A signature miniature ceramic vase created by the American studio potter Rose (1914–2015). Dated g’86 on the bottom. Feelies are individually hand-thrown on a potter’s wheel, primarily using glazed porcelain or stoneware. was a self-taught glaze chemist who developed a vast palette of unique colors and textures. Her glazes are often described as having a satiny, velvety matte finish that invites the viewer to touch them, which is where the name “Feelie” originates.
