Michel Boche was a highly renowned, 19th-century Parisian manufacturer and master supplier of hunting accessories, firearm cases, and fine gear. He was prolific during the mid-1800s, earning specialized patents for his highly consistent powder delivery mechanisms. This model utilizes an ingenious spring-loaded thumb-lever cutoff gate with a specialized internal sleeve. When the spring lever is depressed, it controls a precision-measured volume of black powder inside the charger nozzle for safe, uniform muzzleloading.  Unlike common ribbed or heavily embossed hunting flasks (which feature dogs, stags, or classical foliage), this flask features a sleek, unadorned bag-shaped body constructed from heavy gauge copper with an un-split, brazed seam. This minimalist design was heavily favored for high-end cased dueling/target pistol sets or military officer kits because it did not snag on velvet case dividers or leather pouches.
