Description
19th C. This is the only Nandi we have ever seen with a milk pail. These small Nandi are home deities often found at the front door of an abode, imparting protection and joy. Nandi is the bull vahana of the Hindu god Shiva, meaning happiness, joy, and satisfaction. He is also the guardian deity of Kailash, the abode of Shiva. Nandi signifies and conveys the meaning that the purpose of life is to realize the oneness of all creation and one’s identity with the Divinity. 7″x7″x3″
