Late 19th C. A large wood mask on custom iron stand with a dramatic presence. The Bobo mask is from Burkina Faso used in ceremonial dance. The mask is finely carved and decorated with polychrome. Likely a piece that was made for native ceremonial dance and later retired into the decorative trade. Comes with custom stand. 41″x11″x8″
