Description

Charming 20th c. Dutch silver miniature — a child seated on a swing, suspended by cast chains within an upright open frame on a stepped, bun-footed base. The cluster in the center of the base shows three struck marks, and the rightmost reads 835.
The Dutch were the leading manufacturers of silver toys, their most prolific period being 1725-1750. Production continued steadily through the 19th and 20th centuries. 2.25″ H x 1.5″ W x 1.25″ D
