Description
The outer case of the shrine is fairly plain with a lotus flower and a kendo tsuba faintly drawn one on each side of the overlapping doors. Upon opening, you find a hand-carved portrait of Kiyomasa Kato resting on a raised dais. Every surface is carved or painted or decorated in Japanese motifs including a repetition of the lotus flower and kendo tsuba at the top.
