Lupe L. Romero Taos Pueblo Frame Drum

Hand-made and signed by Lupe L. Romero of Taos Pueblo. At the foot of The Sangre de Cristo Mountains, in venerable, five-story adobe dwellings, is where the Taos Drum originated. Taos Drum frames are created from wood native to Northern New Mexico – cottonwood, aspen or pine.┬áDrum heads are made from cow, deer, elk or goat hides that have been thoroughly cleaned and scraped to maintain the highest level sound, appearance and durability. This is a great sounding drum that really needs a player! 13.5″x4.5″ Please see pictures for condition details as the photos are considered part of the description.
