Leonardo Salazar Our Lady of Guadalupe Carved Cedar Bulto
$987.00
Description
This is a wood carving by Leonardo Salazar son of renowned Taos Santero famous for his fluid, modernist approach to traditional religious figures (santos). Unlike the geometric “Cordova” style, Salazar’s work is heavily influenced by the legendary Patrociño Barela, often utilizing the natural twists and knots of Red Cedar or Native Juniper to dictate the figure’s shape rather than forcing a rigid pattern. Please see photos for condition details as the pictures are considered part of the description.
