Fiji Throwing Club Iula Tavatava

Description

This is a vintage Fijian throwing club known as i Ula Tavatava.  It is a weapon characterized by its lobed or fluted head, designed to be thrown with great force and accuracy at an opponent’s head. The carved wood head shows its age with cracks and a nice patina. The handle features carved patterns for a secure grip, the club is crafted from a single piece of ironwood. 1lb. 10oz. 16″x4.5″x4.5″
